Does the built in
client functionality support the "Digest Authentication" as specified in RFC
2069?
If not, I think this
is should be a feature request.
This might be
sufficent for certain situations where it might be too "heavy" with Basic
authentication + SSL which seems like the only high-security solution supported
today (granted that Digest Auth) is not as high-security as Basic + SSL but it
might be a good middle ground for certain scenarios.
