Hi Stephen, I also encounter the same problem. But, a simple webservice that i created from the scratch works nicely. So my conclusion: it is not my axis setting which wrong. I was suspicious that it was the problem with my firewall setting for that port, but it is not. Just try running "quote" sample in the "samples" directory. If it is OK then, you successfully configured Axis 1.0
