Try putting your handler parameters within the /deployment/handler declaration (where 
you define what "AuditTrailHandler" is in the first place), rather than under 
/deployment/service/requestFlow/handler where you invoke it.  That should get the 
parameter through.  There is an example of this in the user's guide [1].

What you're doing *seems* like it should work, and if it doesn't, then it's either a) 
a bug, or b) would make a great feature request.  Either way you should throw 
something into bugzilla to get it tracked.
