Try adding the following to your deploy.wsdd.

  <service .....>
        <requestFlow>
        <handler type="Authenticate"/>
      </requestFlow>
  </service>

Hello,

I noticed that the simple authentication handler is present in my config
file, but it doesnt seem to be enabled.  Am I supposed to add a
parameter to the service before I deploy it?
