Has any body built this axis 1-1 for solaris

I have downloaded: http://ws.apache.org/axis/dist/1_1/axis-1_1-src.tar.gz


Each time I try to "gzip -d axis-1_1-src.tar.gz"
and then "tar xvf axis-1_1-src.tar"

I get a directory check sum error.

There is no problem for the Windows version.

Any ideas ????
