Are you using something like WS-RP? "creating a view in the UI?" The view IS the UI. Frankly it sounds like you are barking up the wrong tree. Web Services, IMHO, are best suited for coarse grained business components in the same vein as EJBs. You don't (at least you shouldn't) make a UI out of either...
