Hi, If you want to pass the XML document or valid XML element as the argument to the web services then the part type for the message can be of xsd:any or xsd:anyType in WSDL file. And for implmentation the argument type of the service has to be org.apache.axis.types.Schema

It has been a long time since I had to do this, but this is the route I would take. You could send the xml files through the web service as attachments. Or even buffer it out to a string. If this class is a bean, then you can serialize the class and pass it back and forth.
