Thanks, but you misunderstood my problem. Ive got an Axis-Service running on a Tomcat 4.1.27. And I try to connect to this Service with a Client. But instead of connecting and using the Service I get an Exception (java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect) and the Tomcat Server is shut down.

I think, in your case, tomcat is still running. If you are running windows try looking for tomcat.exe in the Processes tab of task manager. Use ps for linux. hope this helps! mithun http://www.cs.umbc.edu/~mits1 [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Hi everyone, > > i delpoyed a very simple Axis-WebService and try to consume it via a Client > generated with the Sun WSDP. > > But everytime I try I get a > > java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect > > and the Tomcat is shut down.
