If I wanted to run SOAP server inside IBM HTTP Server,

can I just follow as you have suggested ?

 

I'm not familiar with IBM HTTP Server,

how do we make web application ? is it just zipping axis home directory to a war file and then put it inside one of IBM HTTP folder to deploy ?

1. I read it somewhere that IBM WebSphere came built in with Axis 1.0
   But after installing WebSphere , I couldn;t find it anywhere, eg :axis.jar

Not true, IBM did supply axis with their ETTK toolkit but not in websphere (yet.....)

2. Do we actually install axis inside IBM WebSphere or IBM HTTP Server ? or can be both ?
   Does IBM websphere also have web container or servlet engine like IBM HTTP Server ?

We run it as a web application, the IBM HTTP server(a modded apache HTTP server) is only
for webpages and not for servlets, jsps etc they run in the websphere appserver via the plugin.

3. if WebSphere has bundled Axis 1.0 inside, how to get rid of it and replace it with Axis 1.1 ?
   or How do we install axis 1.1 inside IBM WebSphere or IBM HTTP Server ?

Make a web application with axis and the libs in it and deploy basically
