I found out why it went wrong: I did set up a client-config.wsdd and dropped it in the same directory as my client jar. Apparently, this is not enough. I need to explicitly load the file as EngineConfig and set it in my service. After that, my code works! This also solved my another problem: "Multiple stateful sessions don't work". Thanks again!
