I'm not sure if this is the problem; however, I thought that if you used the complete file name for a class then you had to be in the directory "above"?
More specifically, it looks to me like you are attempting to execute the class "samples.stock.GetQuote" from the "C:\axis-1_1\samples\stock" directory. I would have thought that you would have to execute that class from "C:\axis-1_1".
