I currently have two problems with Axis 1.1 running on a Solaris 9 box using Sun One Application Server. I have installed Axis and my service. The happy Axis page is OK and I can see it in the list of deployed services. The two problems I have are:
1. When my client hits my service I get an error message java.lang.NumberFormatException returned. I have done some investigation of the source and have determined the error is returned when Axis tries to invoke the Axis Engine in the AxisServlet class. I have tried exactly the same deployment on a windows box using Tomcat and it works perfectly. Can anybody help. 2. Trying to investigate the above, I cannot get the logging to work. I have followed the instructions in the on-line FAQ/Wiki. I have even replaced the log4j.properties file in the axis.jar with the .properties file described in the FAQ. Still no joy.
