read() function of your inputstream, you can count the byte read, and
then use it along with the file size for your progress bar. Cache the

the old cache value, then call the progress bar to update (directly
using SwingUtilities.invokeLater, or some other abstraction for
separation between code and presentation (such as through an
interface)). This is one way of doing it, there could be much
easier/better way.
