Peter Pascale, Thanks for your response - hose were great links you forwarded. (FYI, somehow your response didn't make it through our spam filter, but I was able to pick it up in the search tool at the Axis web site).
Now, let me elaborate my question just a bit... my biggest concern is not really regarding the move from rpc/encoded to doc/literal, but instead 1) Whether axis 1.1 supports doc/literal well enough, so that I can move to doc/literal while staying on axis 1.1 or, conversely 2) Whether the axis 1.2 release candidates are stable enough so I can go ahead and upgrade to 1.2 and doc/literal in one step or 3) Whether the axis 1.2 release candidates are stable enough so I can go ahead and move to axis 1.2, continue with rpc/encoded style, while adding doc/literal whenever I can do so. So, I guess this second half of my question is more related to the stability of the axis 1.2 release candidates, as opposed to the validity of using doc/literal style. Is there anyone out there willing to share an opinion? Unfortunately, I think my fallback is to stick with Axis 1.1 and rpc/encoded for this next project - although I would prefer to take the leap, if someone could share some encouraging experiences :-) Thanks again, Sam > -----Original Message----- > From: Ayers, Sam > Sent: Wednesday, January 12, 2005 9:27 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Need your help in making this decision... > > Axis user community, > > Last year I implemented a service oriented architecture on one of > Paymentech's core, internal, systems (an HP NonStop, i.e. Tandem, system). > It worked extremely well.
