Rolling Fix for Bug 986 into 1.2

I am looking at bug http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AXIS-986. Someone submitted the patch but looks ike this was not added to CVS. This bug surely is a huge bug for those who are using Contaienr based session management on server side. I am really surprised why this patch was not added to the CVS code.   Would it be possible to add this patch to the 1.2 version? I see Davanam Srinivas's comments at the end of the bug. He asked if someone still need this patch.
