Yes, Apache 2 (and modperl 2) do make that totally trivial, as exemplified during Doug's amazing talk last year. Apache 2 is still in alpha, and from what I heard not doing too bad, despite Ken Coar's fears that it is continuously made unstable. Rumours have it that we can expect a beta in late March (ie early May I guess) and a release at some point this year, almost certainly early enough that it won't have to be in 2003 ;-) Honestly, it would seem that a hell of a lot is already there and almost usable. Judging from the modperl dev list, modperl 2 will also be there in time to match. I doubt all of that will be production-stable by TPC but I think that it'll be stable enough for us to start playing with it. Wow, think of it. Give me Apache 2, modperl 2, perl 5.8, and at some point AxKit 2.... what more can one ask for? ;-) -- _______________________________________________________________________ Robin Berjon <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- CTO k n o w s c a p e : // venture knowledge agency www.knowscape.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Sleep is no substitute for coffee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
