XSLT has the great virtues of:

 * multiple implementations (can cross-check syntax)
 * published and comprehensive specification
 * much excellent documentation and published books
 * support from open source and commercial vendors
 * useable in other environments
 * bindings in many languages

none of which are criticisms of XPathScript, but
they are reasons why I do my work in XSLT and don't intend
to change. Much as I like AxKit, I want to have the freedom
to drop it tomorrow, or interchange scripts with a Cocoon
setup.
