The reason we've kept the site of xml.apache.org is that they don't run
AxKit. We're strong believers in eating our own dog food, so I think
there's value on keeping it separate. The ads just help pay for
bandwidth (though they don't help very much - like about $60 per year,
when I pay >$100 per month).

Having said that, it's definitely in the todo list to redesign the site
so that it looks like the xml.apache.org site (well, within reason - we
believe the xml.apache.org site looks a bit dull, so expect a look a
little like it but better). But it takes a lot of time to do that
redevelopment, for various reasons (mostly because nobody has the time
to do it!).

If you'd like to volunteer your services to do the rework, and work
with Kip Hampton in doing so (he's already done a proof of concept
redesign), then we'd be very happy to welcome you to the team.

Matt.
