The User Mode Linux page (http://user-mode-linux.sourceforge.net/uses.html)
lists some commercial virtual hosts which allow full root access and would thus allow you to install AxKit and Postgres and they seem quite inexpensive to me.

There are others which offer this level of access. I signed up for a one-month free trial on one (http://ispserver.com/en/index.html) and threw everything at it (Apachetoolbox is a great utility to test out what they mean when they say 'full access') and it was faultless. I will be switching when my contract with my current (no-AxKit) web hosting service expires.

Subject: [XIMS-Devel] web host required

Hello,

Does anyone know web hosts who support both AxKit and Postgres so that I
can install XIMS?

Thanks,
Nagita Karunaratne
