params and cacheing

I have an XPS stylesheet whith a param to select content (like 
fred.xml?chapter=3).  Is it correct behaviour that the XPS will only run 
the first time and then deliver the cached version regardless of the 
param value changing?

I had to put a $r->no_cache(1) in my stylesheet to make it work but I 
seem to remember it working ok before.

I have upgraded to AxKit 1.6.1
