I don't think it is an error as pages served with the configuration in 
the Wiki get processed fine.

should be enough to let AxKit handle these files. At least it does 
handle them for me ;-)...

(1) Although the "Dromedaries" example at:
    http://axkit.org/wiki/view/AxKit/QuickStart
    worked for me, I had actually followed the AxKit installation 
instructions at:
    http://axkit.org/wiki/view/AxKit/AxKitRedHat9

    SetHandler perl-script
    PerlHandler AxKit
Please fix the mistake in the wiki !!!!
