Hi Jrg,
as the original author of the document I would like to ask for marking the extensions, as a recent extension showed that those extensions might take away some features from the installation-description (like the discussion about SetHandler and AddHandler resulting from that showed and the whole thing ist desribed in INSTALL.txt).
It took quite a while to write down the instructions and I am helping people having problems with it. Marking extensions would make it really easy to go through the document and recject or merge these extensions.
I am looking forward to any extensions and I hope this Email encourages people to make extensions.
Best Regards,
Benne

re-reading, so documenting the experience would probably require a new
default RH9 installation to replicate the conditions, and a slower more
deliberate/experience second shot at it.
The "AxKit on Redhat 9" tutorial
(http://axkit.org/wiki/view/AxKit/AxKitRedHat9#) was very helpful. I didn't
end up having to reinstall Redhat, but Perl had to be built from scratch,
as did Apache and mod_perl.
Looking forward to doing it again knowing now what I didn't then, and of
course taking copious notes. thanks to all who helped (mostly unknowingly),
the mailing list gave direction to my efforts.
Can you share your notes with others by correcting/extending the Wiki page?
(once Matt fixes AxKit.org, that is :-)
