Hi,
sorry that I haven't found the time to do the debugging described in the Emails yesterday as of now.
I hope I will find the time to do that this afternoon.
In the meantime here are some more information about the setup (espacially about the LibXML-Versions involved).
Setup 1 - RedHat 9: libxml2 - 2.5.7 XML::LibXML - 1.54 AxKit - 1.6.1 Perl - 5.8.0
Setup 2 - MacOS X: libxml2 - 2.5.10 XML::LibXML - 1.56 AxKit - 1.6.2 Perl - 5.8.0
As I said before I hope to be able to do the debugging later.
In the meantime: Thanks a lot for all your efforts, tell me if you need further information.

Jörg - you can see the bug manifest itself now on the AxKit front page.
I fear it may be something to do with LibXML version.
