What would I fix? I have no control over the encodings used by Open Office or the clipboard or for that matter the browser either... That is to say the browser sent me some kaka and called it ISO-8859-1, but it lied. I guess I could just not believe what the browser is telling me, but then I am still left trying to figure what I DID get and convert it back to something else. I guess what I'm saying is I could have told the browser I was serving up ISO-8859-1, UTF-8, or cp1252 for that matter and that really shouldn't affect what the browser sends BACK, it should send back SOME character set and it should tell me ACTUALLY which encoding that is!!! Anything short of that is a bug in the user agent and its going to be pretty blasted hard to deal with considering I have NO idea what the client is sending me! -- Tod Harter Giant Electronic Brain http://www.giantelectronicbrain.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
