Leaving aside whether it's appropriate to post on this here, you might do better to wait until about 6 months out, and between now and then get yourself known by contributing something important to the project (maybe you already have - if so you should have led with it). At that point if you're at all lucky people will be knocking on _your_ door. If not, it should at least get you networked with folks who can help connect you with the position you want.
