What's the future of Axkit with regard to Char sets? I'm sure it all depends on the underlying libs so does anyone know what's the future of those?
Do you have a more precise question? AxKit is already fully supportive of the various character encodings that XML enables, both for input and output. There are various options to control AxKit's behaviour in this regard.
