I noticed early on with the new ubiquity that there was no option to rename the computer during installation. While I don't personally do that I saw that was a problem for some at the forums so I filed a bug report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/628087 Given Colin Watson's comment, "I believe this was intentionally removed as part of the installer redesign, but design work may be open to re-evaluation in light of user feedback, so this bug might as well remain open ..." And based on responses both at Launchpad and at the forums I believe it would be in our best interest to either restore that option or provide a definitive method to do so post-installation in the release notes. I very much want Maverick to be as bug-free as possible :^)
