As far as I am concerned---any upper bar wastes space.....The first thing I do on a new install is remove the upper panel/bar & use AWN for my lower panel--yes I know that it "looks" like OSX that way, but it fits my workflow better (maybe because I'm a old-Mac head & I jumped all over the lower bar when it came out :) ).
In any case, mousing to the top of the screen (I use a 27" SyncMaster) is a real pain--most people read from top to bottom & I generally end up at the bottom of the screen when I finish a page & ---Gee---there is right where I need to be.........Alt-Tab would be another VERY nice addition.......but that's another topic. > > -- Dean Loros Performance by Design Ltd autocrosser at ubuntuforums.org
