Hi, While this is an interesting topic, this topic is better dealt in the Gnome mailing lists. Any improvement/change needs to be done in *all* the GNOME applications and the Upstream authors for those applications need to be notified as well. While some of the upstream authors are subscribed to this Ayatana mailing list here, this conversation is not really going anywhere without their input. [Unless Ubuntu plans on fixing the menus for every GNOME application] Ayatana Mailing list already has a *lot* of discussion going on and piling in more general discussions here will drown the useful Ayatana relevant suggestions made by other members. Also the current File menu in /most/ apps follows the /current/ HIG : <http://library.gnome.org/devel/hig-book/stable/menus-standard.html.en#the-file-menu> There is going to be an update to HIG: <http://live.gnome.org/UsabilityProject/HIG3> It is better to bring up this topic for the discussion, so that the HIG can be updated if a better suggestion is agreed upon. -- Cheers, Vish _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ayatana Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ayatana More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
