when I have several windows open, I find the overview is useless. The
thumbnails are too small for me to be able to tell what window it is,
especially when I'm dealing with multiple windows from Writer or Nautilus for
example. Plus, there being no Icon associated with the window, sometimes I
can't even tell what application it is. I think the overview should be
abandoned as the primary method of selecting between multiple windows. It
should be an additional option but not primary. Especially for folks on smaller
screens, Ubuntu needs to copy Windows here and present a full-screen view of
the window. I like the "middle-click the titlebar" function of cycling windows
but this isn't always practical because if windows are not maximized you have
to constantly move to the titlebar.

I find myself wishing I could cycle through an application's windows one at a
time with a full-screen view by holding Super and tapping the application's
associated Launcher number (1-0) like Microsoft Windows lets folks do in
Windows 7. Being able to cycle like Super + 2, 2, 2 is efficient and works for
cycling full-screen view of a specific application's open windows.

Hi All, Great Job for bringing Unity to desktop, I really enjoy Unity.

I have a suggestion, which will please many users I think.

First Im not an english speaker.

Let face the situation first:

I have many instance of an application runnig, let say Firefox ( main

window and the download window), or more relevant Evince with many

documents opened.

If I want to close one or two instances (documents) or more, I have to

locate first which is the right instance before closing, with many

instances this way is not quicker and will requiere more mouse clic.

The better way of doing this :

if we clic on the icon of the concerned application, Unity shows us an

overview of all this application's instances. We could use this overview

feature and add a close button on top of each instance so we could

directly close the instances we no more need. this way is better and

user friendly.

what do you think ?
