Fall River Historical Society allows you to do research for free at their
place of business. http://www.lizzieborden.org/archives.asp Although they
only have records of Fall River families/events, many Portuguese families
have roots here. May be of some help. Thought I would mention it.
I lived in Fall River all my life, but didn't get into researching my
ancestry until I was in my 30's and most of my families reliable historians
were gone. I have since relocated to GA, but on my next trip home I plan on
trying the Historical Society to try to tie up some loose ends...
