Hi I just realized that I did have more information on Manuel Furtado. He was born in Relva, son of Jose Furtado and Rosa Guilhermina. He married in 1898 in Relva, Maria Oliveira, daughter of Jacinto Oliveira and Carolina de Jesus.
Probably not a connection, but the Cambridge MA, peaked my curiosity!
