Hi;
I found this all very interesting.  My mother would not let a bird in the 
house, pictures were OK but if a bird came in the house, or tried to fly in 
the window it meant a death in the family.  Hats on beds, were also a no no. 
I made very sure I did not pass this onto my children because my mother 
would get so upset over many of these things.
