Hi all, Need some help ... My dad's great aunt left Pico with her sister (Maria Machado b. 1866 and Francisca b. 1868) and went to Gloucester, MA. Family lore says Maria married a widower with the surname of Gomes who had sons and they only had a daughter named Maria. Mr. Gomes was some sort of fisherman or whaler. Maria's daughter also named Maria married and had a daughter named Silvia. I know Maria (b. 1866 died in 1948). Francisca apparetnley lived near by but I don't know anything else.
