Maria, Thank you for your reply!
I have found a John Vincent "next door" to my Joseph Vincent in the 1920 Federal Census, Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts. This John is 54 years of, from Fayal and his wife's name is Anna, age 53, and also from Fayal. They have a 15 years old daughter in the household named Mabel and though they are in Massachusetts, Mabel is listed as being born in Rhode Island. Could this John Vincent be yours??
