Hi Richard, I'm just wondering if you're familiar with using the use the Microsoft "eraser" to erase the dots and clean up the page. I love using it and it's helped me immensely to be able to read it (sort of). I recently learned about it so forgive me if this is something you already use.
Sometimes after studying the document day after day, I get to the point where I think, "Here I've found this information and now I can't decipher the words!" and feel discouraged. It's very discouraging, but mostly then I post on this site and "Voila!!" someone saves the day. I'm so glad you solved it. I've added *Carvalho's* to my research from Sao Pedro parish in Sao Miguel. Are yours from there?
