"Lynne Barnard" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Here is her query: I am looking for the Vienna family. In particular Antonio Vienna (Viena?...I found a website that advised that Viena (Vieira?) is the Portuguese spelling?) born 1826 in Portugal (possibly Lisbon?) to Joseph Vienna and Rose Rivers. He died in Geelong Victoria Australia in 1893. He married Catherine Hogan in Geelong Victoria Australia 22/07/1856. Catherine was born 1834 in Tipperary, Ireland. I have a copy of their wedding certificate but it only confirms the parents names and lists Portugal only, no town. I cannot find Antonio on any shipping lists but his occupation is listed as seaman. One Australian distant relative has come to the conclusion that he probably jumped ship here but this is only a guess. He had a brother John Vienna born circa 1830 in Portugal and died in Geelong Victoria Australia 1907.
