Elaine (and others),

If you're already tested to be an mtDNA haplopgroup J, then your sisters and
your mother would all be identical to you. (For those not familiar, mtDNA
stands for mitochondrial DNA which is your mother's mother's mother's
line...all women all the way back).

The mtDNA haplgroups in the Azores project on FamilyTree DNA (FTDNA):
H (18/39) 46% (Mitosearch database about 34%)
HV (2/39) 5% (Mitosearch database about 2%) Both of these people's results
came in this week!
I (1/39) 2.5% (Mitosearch database about 2%)
J (6/39) 15% (Mitosearch database about 8%)
K (5/39) 13% (Mitosearch database about 8%)
L (4/39) 10% (Mitosearch database about 9%)
N (2/39) 5% (Mitosearch database about 1%)
R (1/39) 2.5% (Mitosearch database about 0.5%)
T (7/39) 18% (Mitosearch database about 8%)
U (10/39) 26% (Mitosearch database about 26%)
V (3/39) 8% (Mitosearch database about 3%)
W (3/39) 8% (Mitosearch database about 2%)
X (1/39) 2.5% (Mitosearch database about 1%)
(Percentages were rounded. Mitosearch results come from thousands where the
Azores is only 39 total, so the results are somewhat skewed).
