Cheri

I'm not sure about reporting discrepancies. I work Tuesday night and I'll see
about calling SLC and reporting.

Subject: [AZORES-Genealogy] My freguesia (village) isn't listed in the FHL
Catalog (now what?)

FHL = Family History Library (for those unfamiliar with the acronym).

I have a print out of all the Azorean film created by the Genealogy Society
of Utah/ LDS/ Family Search. Over time, I have made annotations to it, back in
the day when chats were big. So I have a small list of discrepancies. I'm
sure it's not complete. But for those who have tried to find a film for their
village and can't do so, maybe this will help.

  Sao Miguel island
Bretanha: Earlier books were unfilmed and are not at the archives. However,
an index exists by Vicar Andre de Sousa Dias and that is at the archive.
Fenais da Ajuda = Fenais de Vera Cruz (old and new names)
Joao Bom: Some can be found in Bretanha. The early people can be found in
Mosteiros.
Remedios: Some can be found in Bretanha
Sao Roque: See Rosto de Cao

  Terceira island
Casa de Ribeira: See Praia da Vitoria
  Feteira: See Ribeirinha
  Raminho: See Altares
Sao Mateus: Film 1518165, item 3, baptisms section 1640-1690: Page 58 begins
with the marriages of 1641-1690. The catalog states that marriages there don't
begin until some other time. Rosemarie, do you know where to report FHLC
discrepancies?

  Sao Jorge island
Ribeira da Areia: See Norte Grande

This is all I have and I'm sure this list is not comprehensive.
