Jack, I have checked my list of Freguesia's and churches for Terceira and I find the following churches listed for Angra do Heroismo: Nossa Senhora da Conceicao; Sal Salvador; Sao Pedro; Santa Luzia. I also find a Santa Barbara church in Fonte do Bastardo and the Santa Barbara in the Freguesia of Santa Barbara. One of the things that may help you to understand about the churches in Terceira is that on the Island of Terceira ALL of the churches are in the Concelho de Angra do Heroismo. In other words, I liken it to our Counties. So, you have the Church, Santa Barbara, in the Freguesia/town of Santa Barbara and also in the Concelho/County of Angra do Heroismo. The other Concelho in Terceira is Concelho da Praia da Vitoria. That is where the "other" church, Santa Barbara, is listed as being in the Freguesia/town of Fonte do Bastardo, Concelho/County of Praia da Vitoria. Does that help any? Celeste
