I have an interest in the Half Moon Bay area.

On Ancestry.com I just checked out Peter Furtado and found in the
Voter Registrations of November 1900 a Peter Furtado, age 21, and an
Anibal Joseph Furtado, age 52, were registered on consecutive
affidavits (Peter #21, Anibal #22). That might or might not mean they
registered at the same time and might or might not mean they were
related. Their addresses were both given as simply "Half Moon Bay" but
their precinct was "Purissima", which is just a bit south of Half Moon
Bay.

Furtado is/was not a very common name in the Half Moon Bay area.
