I am a group leader at the AncestralSpace webgroup, and an Azorean descendant contacted me regarding the MELLO-PINE name, specifically notes of a photo:
(quote) Manuel MELLO. Born 27 Dec. 1887 onboard ship underneath Golden Gate Bridge from Hawaii. Died 10 Jan 1945. Centerville, Alameda, CA. Middle: unknown. Right : Joe De MELLO Pine. Born 6 Mar 1883. Ribeira Quente, Sao Miguel, Azores (end-quote) He is related to the Joe De Mello Pine, born 6 Mar 1883 Apologies for not having photo/copy posted or linked - I attempted that at our group homepage. However, it appears to be disabled (at least for me it is - of course it's probably me who is disabled in the technological matter) Is this photo description familiar to anyone?
