I want to thank all of you who looked up the birth record for John Silva on NEHGS. I am not sure if the birth record found is him but through that effort someone found the marriage record his parents that I have been looking for a long time, Maria Victor Pedro. Unfortunately, the NEHGS index lists her as Pedras and well as the marriage certificate I received from NB. But I paid extra and asked for the Notice of Intention of marriage (the form they themselves filled out to obtain the license) and her name is Maria Victor Pedro. I believe she shares the same father as my Isabel (my BRICK WALL) but a different mother. I am now in contact with one of her family members. Hurrah!!
Her husband was born in Lisbon. His mother's name is Efigena Souza. Has anyone ever heard of this first name?
