When does Pedro become Pedras? When does Hermogenes become Edmund-who names their kid Hermogenes, anyhow? Any wonder I have trouble finding records? So much for US records which said Edmund was born Nov. 1914, when the ship sailed Sept. 1914 and he was 5 months old! Well, after much searching and searching and searching ship's manifest, I finally was able to ascertain that Maria Pedras is who I am looking for.
Still trying to find her on CCA site leaving Sao Miguel April 28, 1911 on the ship SS Cretic. Any help appreciated. Never give up the ship......isn't that the saying?
