Margaret; I would appreciate it if you either posted the translation to the list or if you do not want to do that if you would cc me with the translation as I believe Tish is working on the same line as I am though we haven't made the connection yet. My email is: [email protected] Thank you very much, Sam in CA

I thought that might be the case, but I guess I didn't see a date he was born (maybe I didn't look close enough). I would appreciate a complete translation if it is not asking too much. I want to learn and learned a lot from the last translation. So we don't bother everyone with the emails if you would like you could send it to: [email protected] Thanks again, Tish On Fri, Sep 4, 2009 at 7:44 PM, Margaret Vicente <[email protected]> wrote: Hi Tish, I read the document and it says he is (second of the name) which means he is a second child of the same name, most likely because the 1st Jose passed away. It was a common practice to name the next child after the one that died. It happened in my ggp there are 4 of the same name because the first 3 died. It is not a duplication of records but actual baptismal records for 2 children. Hope this helps, let me know if need a complete translation. Attached is one of three baptism records I am sending for review. Thanks to the great translations I received about a week ago. I am now able to ascertain who the parents, grandparents and godparents are in most of the records. It's slow, but doable. I am sending an A and B portion to what I believe is the second baptism of Jose, done over a year after the first one. Was this a common practice? If not, am I missing important parts of the translation? Since I can only send one jpg/email I will send the other page on Jose's second baptism and the first one 6 days after he was born in two more emails. If anyone has the time, I would appreciate translations so I can see how close, or far away I am with my new language.
