I'm guessing there's another glitch with Google Groups. Same thing happened on Mel's Island Routes/Hawaiian list.
We've been hit by a lot of spam lately. The spam message was sent 4 times to the list. The person had 3 of the messages held and was on moderation, so I have no idea how it got through. I'll report it to Google Groups, but they may take a while to resolve it.
