Janice and Steven,

I have a WWI Draft Registration Card for Jose Ferreira Simoes b. Nov. 15,
1878 with a wife Catherine G. Simoes in 1918 they lived on BriggsSt. in New
Bedford.

In 1920 census living at same address Joseph Simoes 40 b. Azores and wife
Catherine 37 b. MA. This says he came to the US in 1893 and NA in 1905.

This is interesting, there is a Jose F. Simoes 26, b. Provacao, St. Michael
on the Ship Finland arriving in New York April 24, 1909 leaving his wife
Virginia Simoes in Provacao going to his brother in law Joao F. Simoes 680
Water St., New Bedford (this is the same address as the Angelo Rebello de
Camara noted before with arrivals Manuel/Mary Simoes in 1905. "Manoel
Ferreira Simoes 25, S?, Mary A. Ferreira Simoes 17, S?, going to her
brother-his brother in law Angelo Rebelo da Camara, 680 Water Street, New
Bedford, MA. Last Residence: Sao Miguel. Angelo's names is spelled Robulo
on Ancestry. "

There are 2 Jose Ferreira marriages in New Bedford, 1 in 1893 and 1 in
1899. There is also a Joseph Simoes in 1897. If you will give me his
wife/children's names, it will help me with the search. Are any of the
above him?

"E"
