David,

For the Portuguese researcher, Ancestry.com will help you trace them in
America with the Federal Censuses and will help you with immigration to
America. Now, you are done with Ancestry as a source.

If you are looking for Internet only sources, you'll only have the CCA site
left. For the freguesias/villages you are looking in though, there's
nothing online. You'll have to wait a while (probably a few years) for that
info to be scanned and eventually put online. You can probably find your
ancestors leaving the Azores in the "Passaporte" section here:
http://pg.azores.gov.pt/drac/cca/ig/ (Click Passaportes on the right, then
choose Ponta Delgada, then choose your years).

If you are not interested in waiting for it to come online (and what you see
on the CCA site I mentioned above has been going on about 5 years, I think),
you can go to your local Family History Center and order the film and
research that way.
