Interesting article, nice explanation. But - I have yet to understand where
my grandparents got their 5 daughter's names from as I have not found 4
these names anywhere else in the family. I would have thought the first
daughter would have been Maria, after a grandmother, but they named the 5th
daughter Maria/Mary. Go figure. Also, I have a favorite cousin in Lisbon
and he has 5 names, 3 of which are surnames, I guess the family did not
want to give up any of the surnames?
