That's great, Mary! God Bless your mom!

I had a similar Mother's Day present. When I went to my daughter's
house, she said her husband father had some family genealogy he wanted
to share. I had been researching this family for a long time on my
own. His father wrote wonderful stories of each line and an uncle
that I thought had died between 1910-1920 was very much alive until
1971 and had children! He was the only child to survive in this
family past 1910. It was a wonderful gift but I sure wish I had had it
earlier as it would have saved me MANY hours of research!

The week before I had been cleaning up some old boxes and there was a
time capsule my 20 year old grandson had done in 3rd or 4th grade. In
the time capsule are 2 letters one from his mom and one from his
dad-my son, (parents divorced a few years earlier and she had
remarried). His mom died 6 years ago at age 39 when my grandson was
14 and did not leave anything written for him. I am saving this
letter for a special day in his life...I'm thinking when he graduates
from college. Sometimes our public schools do wonderful projects
without even knowing it.
